Rules

1. The work must be relatively new, completed in the last 3 years.

2. The 1st to 3rd place winners will showcase their works at DKAF 2024 (Daejeon K-Art Fair) held in August 2024 at DCC.

3. All selected artists and artworks will be posted on the official website and Artsy, and also be shared on IKAP social media.

4. Deadline for submission is "16th July, 2024". The application process is entirely online at 'www.kunsgallery.com'

5. All entries must be submitted initially as high-resolution digital images (JPEG, JPG, TIFF or PNG) with a minimum resolution of 200 dpi and a maximum file size of 10 MB.

6. For digital art submissions, artists must create their artwork without the use of AI apps, programs, or filters to enhance or create the art.

7. The artists shortlisted for the prize and the exhibition will be notified via social media by 22th July 2024.

8. The winning artist should ship the selected artworks to the address supplied to them in his/her notification email. The artists are responsible for all shipping costs.

9. After the exhibition, the Winner will be able to arrange shipment or to pick up his/her own work after the exhibition. The work that hasn’t been picked up or shipped before the next award will become property of the Kün's Gallery. Alternatively, artists can donate the work to Kün's Gallery.

10. Kün's Gallery organization and the jury’s decisions on all things are final. In the event of unforeseen circumstances, the organization reserves the right to change dates, location and awards.

11. The judging process is strictly based on the image of the work, and the number of all winners, including the first prize, varies each time, and there may not be a winners.

1. The competition strictly prohibits the submission of artworks that may provoke hatred or raise social issues. All submitted artworks should reflect artistic values based on respect and inclusivity. Participants are expected to submit works that demonstrate respect and understanding towards individuals, groups, and society.

2. The submitted artworks must be original creations of the participants. Submission of other individuals' works or plagiarized works is not permitted.

3. The artworks must adhere to ethical standards and should not infringe upon the rights of others or contain illegal content.

4. The competition is open to participants of any nationality and gender, but there is a minimum age requirement of 15 years.

6. Specific guidelines for the submitted artworks:

Artwork Formats: While submissions and applications for various art forms such as photography, video, music, and performances are allowed, please note that the emphasis is on visual arts as it is an "Art" Prize.
Artwork Size: Considering actual gallery exhibitions, paintings should not exceed 200 x 200 x 30 cm (width x height x thickness). For sculptures, installations, and other three-dimensional artworks, please be aware that feasibility for actual exhibition may vary.
Criteria for Submitted Artworks: At the time of application, the artwork should not have been sold, and it should be eligible for sale. Please refer to Clause 12 of the Terms and Conditions for more details.

In addition to the mentioned guidelines, it is important for participants to familiarize themselves with the Terms and Conditions and the rules before submitting their applications.

1. Participation qualifications: Depending on the number of works submitted, a screening and participation fee of approximately $36, $58, or $74 will be charged. Applicants must be 15 years of age or older. (In some cases, proof of age may be required.)

2. Expenses: All expenses (including, but not limited to, screening, exhibition, transportation or visits) incurred as a result of participation in the contest are the responsibility of the artist/applicant and will not be reimbursed or subsidized by Kün's Gallery.

3. Submission Guidelines: Please do not send physical copies or original artwork to the gallery. Not allowed in competition. Kün's Gallery and International Kün's Art Prize are not responsible for any loss or damage to works submitted without consultation between the winning artist and the gallery each time.

4. Digital Artwork Restriction: For digital art submissions, the artist must create the artwork without using any AI apps, programs or filters to enhance or create the art. By submitting a digital work, the artist confirms that the submitted work is his/her own creation and has not been created using artificial intelligence or significantly altered from the original work. Any entries found to be in violation of this provision may be disqualified at the discretion of Küns Gallery and Küns Art Prize.

5. Artwork Rights: By participating in the contest, entrants receive a non-exclusive, royalty-free license to Küns Gallery and Küns Art Prize and their marketing agencies, judges, related media outlets, and related businesses to use, reproduce, and publish their artworks for marketing purposes. grant a license. Disclosure of purpose and posting on website, both online and in print. Where possible and necessary, the artist's name and contact information will be recorded.

6. Intellectual Property Rights: Entrants must ensure that the work they submit is original, does not infringe the rights of any third party, and is not subject to copyright, trademark or other intellectual property claims. Kün's Gallery and International Kün's Art Prize are not responsible for any disputes or claims arising out of the use of submitted works.

7. Good faith clause: In case of any ambiguity, all parties involved must act in good faith to resolve the matter amicably.

8. Judging process: The judges' decision is final and no reasons or grounds are entered. Certain works may be selected based on the conditions and proposals of the Committee and may require an on-site visit or further discussion. In this case, Kün's Gallery will contact you directly.

9. Liability: Kün's Gallery, International Kün's Art Prize and related parties are not responsible for any personal injury, loss or damage incurred by participants or attendees in the contest or online or offline exhibition.

10. Risk: Kün's Gallery and International Kün's Art Prize do not provide insurance for the final selected works. Artists are responsible for securing insurance if desired. Name, address, phone number and title must be clearly displayed in each work information.

11. Recipient Obligation: The final winner must provide all possible support to exhibit the award-winning works and other works at DCC in Daejeon, S.Korea or Kün's Gallery in Seoul, S.Korea.

However, if the winner does not want to, the offline exhibition may not be held, and even if the exhibition cannot be held due to unavoidable circumstances, Kün's Gallery and International Kün's Art Prize will consider it as having paid the first prize.

12. Sales of works: All award-winning works will be listed on the Kün's Gallery, official website, and virtual gallery, and a 40% gallery fee must be included in the price of the work.

13. Delivery and Collection: The artist is responsible for shipping and collecting the Kün's Gallery art on the agreed date. All packing material must be removed after delivery (it's not possible to store in the gallery) and must be brought back upon collection of the work. In addition, artists sending works from countries other than Korea are responsible for customs duties, declarations and other related documents for all incoming and outgoing works, and must ensure that they arrive at the gallery during the exhibition period.

14. Measures for exhibited works: Kün's Gallery conducts a condition check when all works are brought in or taken out. Exhibit as delivered as possible, dusting and light cleaning around the artwork may be done as appropriate depending on the circumstances, and no repairs, restorations or extensive cleaning of the artwork will be performed without the prior written permission of the artist. The work will be checked again after the exhibition is over.

15. Criteria for exhibition works: Other works by the artist, including the selected works of the winning artist, will be exhibited, but works that may cause damage to other works or the gallery because the paint has not dried or gone through the finishing stage are excluded. In this case, the artist is responsible for reimbursing the cost.

16. Prizes: No cash or alternative prizes will be awarded. (All winners are the same)

17. Publicity: Contest participants may engage in reasonable publicity. This may include posting the artist's full name and photograph in print or online. By accepting these Terms of Use, participants consent to the taking and use of their names and photos by Kün's Gallery, International Kün's Art Prize and their marketing agencies, and any media outlets that may be interested.

18. Data Protection: Kün's Gallery and International Kün's Art Prize process all personal information provided by participants in accordance with the Privacy Policy and applicable data protection laws.

19. Right of Cancellation: Kün's Gallery and International Kün's Art Prize may cancel or modify the Contest and these Terms and Conditions without prior notice in the event of circumstances beyond their control, including but not limited to natural disasters, public health emergencies or legal restrictions. reserves the right to All future changes to the competition will be communicated to participants as soon as possible.

20. Governing Law: These Terms of Use and all disputes arising therefrom shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the Republic of Korea. By participating in the Contest, entrants agree to submit to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts in Korea to resolve any disputes.

21. Severability: If any provision of these Terms of Use is found by any court of competent jurisdiction to be invalid or unenforceable, the remaining provisions shall remain in full force and effect, and the invalid or unenforceable provision shall be amended to the minimum extent necessary. is considered to be Subsequent amendments to the minimum extent shall render such provisions valid and enforceable.

22. Entire Agreement: These Terms and Conditions constitute the entire agreement between the Participant and Kün's Gallery and International Kün's Art Prize with respect to the Contest and supersede all prior understandings, agreements or representations, whether written or oral, with respect to the Contest. No changes to these Terms of Use will be effective unless in writing and signed by Kün's Gallery and International Kün's Art Prize.
